Simple last minute festive look

Hey there conquerors!!

I hope you are all well and not too stressed out about the holiday season. I know how much time people invest in preparing for Christmas and sometimes there is just not enough time to do a full glam make up so I thought a simple last minute festive look would be a great idea.

For my hair I decided to do a fishtail braid because it's something I do on a daily basis so I can easily do this hairstyle in a few minutes. When I braid my hair I always go for a hairband to make sure it stays in place all day because I don't like to use a lot of products. And as we all know my hair is thick and heavy so there is hardly any other possibility for me. But it's fine as I have quite a big collection of hairbands for every occasion. Right now I'm craving the bigger ones but I also would have had some more festive ones as well. Hence go for a hairstyle that you can quickly do and one that works best for your type of hair.

Same advice for your make up look: do something you know you can pull off easily. When you are under pressure you probably won't achieve a stunning look with new products or products you don't use very often. However you might be able to give your daily makeup look a little twist by using different colours or a bit of glitter. Something like that. Make sure you look like you put in a lot of effort when you actually didn't.

You probably didn't think about your outfit as well right? Don't worry. You can always go for a dress with black tights or maybe just a jeans with a nice winterly jumper! We all know that I'm a jewellery lover. Therefore I highly recommend wearing a bit more jewellery than you normally would as this gives you automatically a more festive look.

If you are really pressed for time here are three makeup products that'll give you a nice and fresh look:

1. Mattifying full coverage foundation
When you use a mattifying full coverage foundation you can skip two steps of your usual makeup as you won't need powder and concealer so go for this one!

2. Blush
Blush can be a great alternative when you don't have time for contouring and strobing. I know these are completely different products but I think it also gives your face a bit of dimension. And if you are in a hurry, go for blush! Although I don't tend to use blush at the moment, it's a great way to give you a fresh look on your face and you can't really go wrong with it either.

3. Mascara
Last but not least: mascara! There is no way you'll get a decent look without mascara. I personally like my lashes a bit clumpy. Not too much of course! But we want your eyes to stand out without using any eyeshadow or doing a wing. So go a bit over the top with your mascara. That's my advice.

Stay tuned for the New Year's Eve look next Wednesday! It's probably going to be a smokey eye look so if you are interested check it out next week. Hope you found some inspiration and keep cool over the holidays.

That's it for today beauties. Please share your festive looks with me in the comments. Lots of love and remember to conquer the world!!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year conquerors!!
